A week that has flown by so fast my feet barely had chance to touch the ground. With two long days in the office and back-to-back meetings on most days, I found myself in the garden re-grounding myself and collapsing into my bed and then the week was over. Slightly less stressful than the previous week but certainly no less busy and some really good conversions.

  • 🤝🏻 - After a introductions calls last week, this week I started doing face-to-face meetings with a few of the new 6DG folks. This was a great opportunity to deep-dive on the day-to-day and operational requirements of this new business, to understand each persons role and context and to start building relationships.

  • 🍴 - On Tuesday I had a nice breakfast at the Ivy with a 6DG customer, which was about relationship building and reassuring an important customer about the stability of service over the coming months. Talking about technology, the economy and a little bit of politics all over coffee and some eggs benedict seems like a perfect morning to me.

  • 📈 - Thursday was the H1 sales kick-off, so I was there to present to our sales organisation about what’s coming up for our cloud services, market trends, some sales tips and Q&A. The Q&A is always my favourite bit, because while I’ve done these types of sessions many times, there is always something that has come up for a sales person or there is a new sales person with new perspectives that drives new questions and occasionally challenges me to think in a new way.

  • 🔬 - The rest of the week continued to be the Project-R2 discovery sessions. More questions, more documents shared, more reading, even more questions. As much as this can be quite stressful and sometimes overwhelming, I do love getting to go this deep into the operations of an organisations and there is rarely something that I don’t learn in the process.
