Having been off work for a week and then coming back to a 4-day week, I was certainly rushing to play catch-up.
- - I think my favourite part of this week is that I have been given access to a new toy which is Copilot Cowork. I’m just starting to experiment with it, starting first with your typical meeting management and document generation scenarios but I’m excited to see where it goes. I will almost certainly have a deeper dive on this in the coming weeks.
- ⛑️ - Next week I have a resilience webinar next week so there has been a lot of final prep to do this week. What’s been particularly useful about this topic is that I’ve got enough material not only for the webinar but likely for a longer form blog post, which I am also quite excited to finalise.
- ☔ - The overlap of a few projects, both internal and large external customers means that I’m expecting us to be entering a crunch period of change. This doesn’t happen often, perhaps once every two years but I can see it coming and I always take these things seriously and prepare my teams accordingly. That means ensuring we’re prioritising the things that are going to have the biggest impact in making us more efficient and also ensuring that each of my team leaders knows what to expect and how to handle it. Exciting and slightly nerve-wracking, but these are the types of periods that while a little horrid to live through, you look back on and see growth - personal as well as organisational.
